ncbio ethics biotechnology legislation overview

Updated digital edition of Legislation on biotechnology in the Nordic countries

The report provides an up-to-date overview of legislation in a variety of areas, including assisted reproduction, human biobanks, cloning and embryo research.

The report was first published in 2014, and has since gained the interest of practitioners, researchers and legal professionals in the Nordic countries and Europe in general.

One of the Nordic Committee on Bioethics tasks is to follow legislative developments in biotechnology in the Nordic countries, and given the high pace of change in matters related to bioethics, the committee and NordForsk believe it is important to update this overview on an annual basis, for instance to promote understanding of the somewhat different laws on bioethical issues within the Nordic region.
