NOS-HS is a cooperation between the research councils in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden
The main aim is to promote research within the fields of humanities and social sciences in the Nordic countries. In addition, it also provides a venue for sharing information and facilitating cross-Nordic collaboration between the research councils and their administrations.
The NOS-HS Secretariat has rotated between research councils in the Nordic countries every four years. Since 2019, the Secretariat has been hosted by Academy of Finland.
As of 1 January 2022, all administrative matters and new calls for funding will be handled by the NOS-HS Secretariat at NordForsk.
New website, same address
NordForsk has set up a new website for NOS-HS, available at nos-hs.org. All information regarding NOS-HS and the transfer will be available there.
Information regarding ongoing projects funded by NOS-HS will be available for a limited period at the website of the Academy of Finland.
