NordForsk launches a new tool for Nordic research impact data

NordForsk has launched its Impact Dashboard, a new tool aimed at providing a clear overview of research activities, their outcomes and impact in the Nordic region.

– Our objective with this dashboard is to offer a straightforward and efficient way for stakeholders to access and analyse our data on the outcomes of our activities, Simon Granroth, analytics officer at NordForsk, explains.

Updated annually, the dashboard collates data on funding, publications, policy-impact, dissemination activities, and collaborations, presenting it in an interactive format. This enables researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to gain a better understanding of the Nordic research collaboration landscape, including trends and patterns in various disciplines and across countries.

This effort is part of NordForsk's broader mission to support and enhance research collaboration in the Nordic region and is a way to improve the transparency of our activities.

– We believe that this tool can assist in identifying areas for future research and collaboration. The dashboard also includes options for users to filter information based on specific criteria such as country, institution, and research area, Granroth notes.

The data is updated annually and is based on NordForsk’s own research project portfolio and our projects self-reported outcomes.
